Shepherd-Shamburg Buy Wilhelm Family Angus Herd
At the beginning of 2020, we made an addition to our herd with the purchase of a purebred Angus herd from Wilhelm Family Angus (Dr Rex and Hope Wilhelm of Stuart, IA). After 38 years in the business, they wanted to sell their herd and fully retire so they could enjoy more time with family. Sara has known the Wilhelm family her whole life and had been helping them with their herd the last several years.
This does not mean that we are changing any facet of our Charolais operation. You can continue to expect quality bulls and strong genetics – continuing to aggressively improve our offering. This move offers us a way to diversify our herd, complimenting the Charolais, have Dan more involved and frankly an opportunity we couldn’t pass up.
